HELP! 3rd board I am asking help on this one for.. Visiontek GeForce 4 Ti 4600...

I have the VisionTek 4600 and when I installed the card it placed on my desktop an icon called "Nvidia Desktop Explorer" I do not wish it to be on my desktop, but it wont let me delete it. I have gone into the advanced properties and unchecked it, Still there. I have booted into safe mode and tried to delete it that way, it's still there. This thing wont go away , and serves no useful purpose for me.

Pleaseeee, does anyone know what I am talking about for one, and two how to get rid of this icon.

Boot into C prompt and go into your desktop directory and delete it without Windows loaded. This method works well for those ghey programs that do crap like this.

is this something that loads on startup? if it is, you can download something like "startup control panel" from www.download.com and uncheck what you dont want to load on startup...

Try using TweakUI to get rid of unwanted desktop icons.
