Hi, has anyone done this successfully?

I have a Telocity DSL gateway that is connected to one network card, and I have the second network card connected to my laptop.

Have installed and uninstalled Internet Connection Sharing about a dozen times per machine, with both the default MSHOME and user defined workgroup names, making sure that the desktop was the one connecting to the ISP and the laptop was the one using another computer's connection, in the settings.

The same setup, only with a set of Diamond HomeFree wireless networking cards (PCI + PCMCIA) in place of one of the two 10/100 PCI network cards I have in the machine right now, worked perfectly. I have just installed a fresh copy of WinME on each machine with no effect either. 3Com network card on the laptop works fine on the network at my workplace.

Light on the network card shows link and activity.

Anyone know how to fix this problem? I haven't messed with any of the TCP/IP or DNS settings, is there any way to get this setup to work? I can't afford an 802.11 wireless setup or a $150 broadband router.

Thanks.

Paul
