Hello, new here. Need some info on beeping noise coming from my computer

I am not extremely techy but have just enough computer knowledge to make things worse..lol

I have a full tower case, run Windows 7, (Some type of GE force graphics card not sure how to figure out what it exactly is other than opening the computer and trying to look), Intel Core TM2 Extreme, 12.0 GB. I currently have 4 fans running and 3 hard drives in my computer. This is a home built computer that a prior boyfriend built for me a long while back.

I have two monitors on and running and play PC games such as STWOR and Tera non stop (I am retired), I also run Team Speak and surf the web all at the same time.

I have noticed the past several days a short intermittent beeping noise coming from my computer especially after playing for more than several hours. From what I have been reading on the internet it could be the CPU overheating, and or BIOS issues or RAM.

I am having a computer tech company pick up my computer tomorrow to diagnose and see whats the deal but I have a genuine interest in wanting to problem solve these types issues on my own.

Would love feedback if you think you can give any step by step easy instruction for a novice non tech person. Someone suggested I download some type of program that will tell me the temperatures in my computer also.

This program monitors some temps in your comp:

As for finding out the card, go to Start menu and type in dxdiag and go to the display tab.

Edit: Alternatively you could download CPU-Z to look up more info about your system:

Good morning and thank you! Most appreciated.

Edit: Ok found the graphics card info NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 How do I find out what type of mother board I have? Again, thanks so much for the information!

Get CoreTemp, or RealTemp, or SpeedFan, to monitor temps.

Get CPU-Z, to give you info on your CPU, mobo, and video card drivers.

Get GPU-Z, to give you more detailed info on your video card. (click Sensors tab to get a realtime graph of temps and stuff.)
