Dude.... Go back into the store, and see if you can find someone checking out with a bunch of stuff. Then ask him/her if you can swap the GC for some cash.

Tattered, paint splattered, torn, ripped baseball cap - $35.00
Sweatshirt with worn logo - $60.00
Faded jeans with ridiculous leg shapes - $(take out a loan)
$100 gift card to world's crappiest overpriced yuppie store - worthless.

I'm with these guys, try to sell that thing. I'm all for respecting the gifts given from relatives. But you could use the hundred bucks just about anywhere else and get nice looking clothing at a good price.

i think you should frame the card for various reasons:

one day when future generations look back to see what life in the 21st century was like, they will be astounded at how stupid our society was. i.e ebay, mcdonalds, nsync have all scarred our history but the sad thing is that we not only accept it but embrace it.

hehe... just a thought...

I don't know where you guys normally shop, but Abercrombie doesn;t seem too bad to me. $50 for a nice, wool turtleneck or the such seems like a good investment when you consider that my clothes from A&F and AE don't fall apart as quickly as other brands. If you want to see an expensive store, try Structure. There clothing is much more expensive then A&F tends to be, although the quality on the clothing is still rock solid.
