be prepared for the smell (no kidding) and the maintenance in general of india. they arent very good.

night life in bombay is great. make sure you visit the restaurant "talk of the town". its an pizzeria and its damn good. its like a couple of blocks away from the hilton on the seashore. most people know where it is.

get cheap software (literally), shoes, apparel, books, and whatever else you can think of. the store Gap? most of the stuff i wear say "made in india", so look around for clothing.

Unfortunately no. I planned on picking up a disposable camera after I got here, but haven't been able to yet. And I managed to lock out my cam phone by trying to add protection to my smartchip in case the phone got stolen.

Sorry buddy, have only seen normal toilets and toilet paper here. :p Even in the office we're getting ready, which is a retrofitted residence, has all toilets and tp. What I did find interesting is that the restroom is also the shower, and the entire floor is tiled with a drain.

In Australia the toilet is usually separated from the shower stall in two separate rooms.

the tailoring idea is great. some of the stuff i get done over there for very little money would cost hundreds of dollars here.

and where in bombay are you staying?
