As I was running that air boat through all sorts of places and it was getting tough, so I thought I would see if there were any forums about Half Life 2. About 4:00AM I finally stopped playing long enough to find this place.
I woke up with a Half Life 2 hangover and my first thought was to sign up and post here. So HELLO! I'm Paul from Arizona. I'm an old gamer from way back when.
I mostly play UT2K4 (ONS) until I got my fat hands on HL2. I've been an ID fan from the beginning and although I upgraded my system (that almost cost me my marriage) just to play Doom 3 cranked up, I haven't finished it. In fact, I got sort of bored and put it away. Technically speaking, Doom 3 is probably better than HL2, but as far as the fun-factor, HL2 wins in my book. I LOVE this game. I bought it last night, via Steam (no problems and slick as can be) and have been enjoying every minute of it.
I was going to post about the Air Boat level, because I was having trouble; but now I see the light at the end of a murky, gooey tunnel and I think I have this level beat.
I want to thank everyone here. You guys post some great stuff and I love that this forum has RSS (I use NewsGator in Outlook to read blogs, but didn't know I could read forums too!).
I'm off to HL2 for at least another hour or two, before I have to use the bathroom or something.
