It has been a boring week, so I thought I'd check in.

BTW...in a topic that's been rehashed hundreds of times, but where can I get the best deal on hosting?

I'm currently paying $12/mo, and I get 1 SQL database, PHP support, and cpanel. Can I beat the price? I don't really use much storage or bandwidth, but I do have 1 domain (which is up for renewal 7/7)

I've been really happy with Telnap hosting (send a PM to DeviousTrap). Both him and RossMAN should be able to point you in the right direction.

First of all who is your current web host and what resources (disk/bandwidth) do you get for $12/mo?

I think I get less than that, and even if I don't, I certainly don't need all that space, so I'd be more than satisfied.

Any info on sql support?

Also, my host originally registered my domain for me, so I am curious, how hard is it to transfer my domain to the new host and reregister it? I assume I can just use a cheap domain registrar (not sure who though, advice would be appreciated).

It's not hard at all and any domain registrar (ie, GoDaddy) should work fine.
