Bah, too bad you don't live in Mass. I got a helluva confusing/complex car audio problem that no one will touch.
I am here to help. Please post some details.
Bleh, I had a giant reply written in notepad, and my PC froze up. Anyway, since you asked, here goes!
I have six aftermarket components which each have a fuse up by the battery. Two amps, two sets of air horns, car alarm, car starter. So basically it's a complete mess up near the battery. To compound matters, time and neglect have caused four of six fuses to no longer function. Only it's not that simple. Melted fuses, fuse holders and electrical tape all caused from massive corrosion at the battery leads..
It's so bad I can't even pull the fuses out to see what fuse goes to what component. They just break in half. The stereo works sometimes, the car starter doesn't work, one of the two sets of airhorns doesn't work, the alarm works. So basically it's a complete mess and I don't know what goes to what.
I brought my car to Tweeter where everything was installed about 10 years ago. They wanted nothing to do with it. I even went to Circuit City and BB (which I thought I'd ever do). They pretty much looked at me like I was a Cylon or something and sent me on my way.
Anyway, it's a total mess. I can probably get some pics if you want. If I've piqued your interest, we can continue this via PM.
