why do you say the Case and PSU are crap ? Im not gonna be using the PSU that comes with the case. The case has 120mm intake in the front and 2 80mm exhaust...

I wouldn't get that thermaltake 480w. It only has 18A on the 12v rail. Stick with a power supply from Antec, OCZ, or Fortron and you can't go wrong.

Also, save money on the ram, and buy Corsair Value Select. It's between 125-135 for 1 gb on newegg.

BTW, stock hs/f is very good for A64s, you're better off saving a few bucks on the other hs/f you picked out and just pay the extra 6 dollars or something for the RETAIL 3000+

Sorry I'm not editing previous posts, I have a javascript problem right now and can only use "Quick Reply". :)

Well Money is really tight. If I could i would get an OCZ PSU, but I just cant go over 60, any recommendations ? I am also planning on Overclocking, I heard the PDP LL overclocks very good (I have 2 Corsiar Value series 3200 in my current system, and because of the customer service I had with Corsair I will never buy from them again). I want my CPU to stay really cool + Im O/C so thats why I am getting an XP120. I should have specified I wanted to o/c. and about the ram... If I buy 2 sticks of it it will work in Dual Channel ? Or will I have to buy the dual channel kit ?

as far as your CPU question goes, the winchesters seem to be the darlings of the overclocking world. more specifically the 3000+ and 3200+.

as far as your RAM question goes, i recommend you get the dual pack on the basis that those to paticular sticks are matched to run in dual channel. you can buy 2 separate sticks and run it in dual channel, but it may not perform as well.

as far as your heatsink goes, at the overclocking forum that i visit, the general consenus is that the xp90 is actually better and somewhat quieter under identical cooling situations. i suggest a 92mm Panaflo fan. i have one on my thermalright si-97(socket a) and i sleep with the thing running full blast(around 2800 or so rpm).

The PSU you chose is not much better than the one comes with the case (which you shouldn't be using anyway 18A on the +12V rail.. um...)
There are much better PSU out there for under $70, OCZ ones are way too expensive in term of practicality.
xp90 would probably do the trick for a little less money, just make sure that you got a 90nm 3000+.

Edit: you might want to try getting those (512mbx2) kits for around $130 any brand with a 2.5 CAS Lat
Save your money on RAID and heatsinks, spend the extra $100 on a better vid card if you game.

Low-latency high-speed RAM has very little impact on the K8 architecture ... go with a cheaper memory (don't like the Corsair? How about Mushkin instead? http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=20-146-299&depa=1 <$130 shipped) and simply use a divider to crank the CPU while keeping the RAM at a lower overclock ... there's a sticky over in the OC forum exactly about this.

There's very little reason to do any sort of RAID on a standard consumer-level machine, as you won't notice too much of an improvement. I'd suggest you go with this one instead (the 200GB model) for more than double the amount of space for less money than you're going to pay for 2x80GB -- http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=22-148-066&depa=1

Go with the NEC 3520A for your DVD-RW drive ... faster speeds and a slightly cheaper price than the Sony you linked -- http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=27-152-035&depa=1

With the money you save from above ($3 from the DVD-RW, $6 from the HDD, $46 from the RAM = $55), you can go for a higher-quality PSU, such as one of these
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-101-613&depa=0 TTGI modular 550w 14cm fan
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-101-610&depa=0 TTGI moduler 550w 4x80mm fan
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-104-150&depa=0 OCZ Powerstream 420w
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-103-910&depa=0 Antec True550

Also note that the video card you linked is out-of-stock, so I'd suggest going for the XFX one ... as a bonus, you also get dual-DVI instead of DVI/D-SUB like on most other 6600GT's
