There was a thread a while back about HGL making a comeback thanks to it's success in Korea, and apparently they've announced it for real now.

Here is the article:

I guess they're going to be calling it Hellgate: Resurrection, and it's going to be a F2P model now instead of sub based. I actually enjoyed HGL quite a bit, but there were useless broken classes when it launched (blademaster comes to mind) that it kinda ruined it. However, some of the classes were really damn fun and I think the others could have been fixed some tweaking.

Anyway I doubt many people here care about it but I'm probably going to try it when it comes back out, I might break it out soon just to see how it looks and runs on a 5870.

hahahahaha

that is pretty good, so they went out of business and screwed all those people over who payed for a lifetime sub and now they are going to make part two?

Over all, I liked the game, fast paced and fun loot and shoot game kinda like Borderlands, though not nearly done as well.

But the ending was awful and the stupid capture the flag and bases shit was terrible.

HG:L was pretty terrible. Color me surprised if this "Resurrection" is any better.

I played tons of it, but I doubt I would ditch the much better looking and playing Borderlands with HGL time

You must be crazy if you think Borderlands looks better than HG:L.

I like the art style of it but it doesn't hold a candle to HG:L in DX10.

HG:L looked very bland at boring. The graphics were not memorable at all. All I remember is grey and brown...

Maybe I was the only one to play it on DX10 High settings in 1920x1080.

It has by far the best DX10 implementation of any game to date and the graphics were top notch at high settings.

I had most everything cranked at 1920x1200. I thought the graphics were nice in many places and a lot of the DX10 elements were pretty damn awesome.

That said, there is no way they are roping me in again, unless they make the game cheap and without a subscription model. Thankfully I did not get sucked into the lifetime sub (sorry HybridSquirrel).
