Hellgate London Performance problems

Hello all,

I just bought hellgate london and while my computer runs the game at max res and settings very well (60 fps), I have run into another performance problem and was curious is to if anyone else has hit this as well.

The problem is with my mouse. The movement is terrible. I dont know how to describe it other than it seems as though it is really trying to stay alone the X and Y axis as much as possible. When you go to move the mouse at an angle it feels as if you have to break it off of the X and Y axis and then it is still not a persistant angled movement, but rather somewhat jagged. This makes playing the marksman class impossible. None of my other games do this and I play mostly FPS games. The movement is terrible and I have a decent mouse.

I have a logitech G3 lazer gaming mouse. Like I said before I run into 0 problems in other games with the mouse movement or operating system (either one, vista or xp). I am running the game on xp currently.

Any thoughts? Happening to anyone else? Am I crazy? lol

Best,

at the very least, post on the official hellgate forums in tech support or search there ... it is far more likely to find someone with a similar problem there.

I have some really weird mouse lag in the in game menus. Its fine in the regular menus, and in the game, but when I hit "alt" to get to the in game menu, and when I'm in the character select screen, I get horrble mouse lag.

Edit - I turned off AA and it helped a lot, but its still there. Its weird though, I shouldn't have to turn off AA. I have a e4300 overclocked to 3Ghz, a 8800GTS 640mb, and 4 gigs of RAM...

I'm sure your mouse came with drivers...to program the buttons and all. Did you load them?

Yes, and I have downloaded the new drivers/software and I have tried lowering all the settings, defraging, and updating my OS and nothing seems to work. From what I hear there may be some sort of patch soon to help with this problem.

You don't have to load specialized drivers/software to have your mouse move as it should. Those are just for button assignments/profiles. I've been running a G7 without Logitech's software since the day I bought it and never had any issues.

Turn off vertical sync. I don't know why, but this improves my fps a ton.

yea mine is turned off. It isnt an FPS problem. I am easily getting 60 all the time. It is a literal mouse response problem in the game. It really feels as if the only two ways to move the mouse are on the x and y axis.
