This well rated game (http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-4/helldivers) came out a month back.

I played 3-4 hours of it last night with co-op and it's quite a good game. Its gameplay is similar to the only other twin-stick I've played recently (Dead Nation apocalypse), though with more complex tactical aspects, because of the use of strategems, which are just various power ups you trigger during missions.

Apparently it's possible to play this across multiple platforms in the same game; e.g. PS3 playing with a PS4 person.

Played another two hours last night. The story is utterly non-existent, but it is an arcade game so no big thing.

Really a great co-op experience. Situations like this happen with surprising regularity:

On one mission me and buddy made it to the extract zone, called the drop ship, and readied for the 90 second wait by dropping a turret or two. With less than 30 seconds left things were looking dicey and my partner was almost dead--crawling on the ground, and surrounded. I assumed he would die, so I ran away from the ship a short distance to ready the reinforcement (bring back to life) strategem. The ship landed, we were both still alive, and my buddy was somehow still dragging himself around. The ship only waits for ten seconds and I realized I might not make it back. He manages to drag himself into it, but I have too many enemies left. I almost make it to the door--1 or 2 seconds was all I needed, but I didn't have them. Ship took off, leaving me to die. Awesome.

Only "bug" I have seen so far is a strategem failed to land on its light target despite being wide open and it instead landed a few feet away--on top of me, once.
