LOL @ "normal thinking" in Austin. Outside of the campus area, and a couple other elitist neighborhoods around central it's the same as any other city.

Obama won Austin's vote by 24 points (60% to 36%) in a state he lost by 16 points. So if by 'campus area and a couple other elitist neighborhoods' you mean 'where all the people live'?

Meh, overall the entire county is much more liberal than the rest of the state, including the other metropolitan areas (which are also fairly liberal, comparatively).

Okay Obama. It doesn't stop being true just because its "old news".

Dunno why you would say this, because your fracking God Tricky Ricky is getting tired of having another baby Jesus loving nutters head shoved up the governor's ass.

th

The fact is, just because some litigious fly by night drilling company says it, don't make it true, either. When drilling companies finally get sued enough times, they just file for bankruptcy and walk away, then sell their mineral rights and assets to another shyster company the owners start, and so it goes in Texas and other parts of the country over and over and over again.

All the Railroad Commission does is rubber stamp any proposal a natural resource exploiting company brings before them, and completely ignore any citizen complaints in a laughable pretend bureaucracy that does absolutely nothing for the citizens being effected by mineral rights rapists.

Fracking companies are dumping their chemicals all over the roads as well; http://www.occupydemocrats.com/caught-on-tape-illegal-dumping-of-texas-toxic-fracking-waste-video/

Yeah, we've got plenty of reason to trust them.

Jesus guys, it's not like you are getting any kick backs from these dirt bags - why defend them tooth and nail like this?

I bet you would be willing to drink the chemicals yourselves, just to ensure they don't appear anywhere as illegally dumped, to protect the frackers.

Fuck... get a life and stop being the good old boy's henchmen - because you sure aren't on their pay roll to act like a henchman.

Here here. I had to spend countless hours cleaning up hazardous drilling waste spilled all over roads before that leaked out of tanker trucks which even involved blocking off the roads until we could get a proper truck to clean off the roadways. They will leave a slick, oily residue on the roads even after they dry up, which can cause traffic accidents, too. These are considered toxic waste spills, no question about it. Of course the company gets billed and a small fine for the cleanup (if they can figure out who caused it) but this happens quite often where ever they are fracking and drilling across the country. And there is no doubt it is happening and dries up on the roads before anyone notices it more often than not, too.

In fact, some companies were even caught deliberately dumping their fracking wastes by opening the valves a bit and letting it all leak out while they were driving down country roads until the truck was empty, then repeating this countless times until they were done at the drilling site. And all because they just don't give a shit and they think they can dump it anywhere and get away with it.

I could post hundreds of these reports. And keep in mind, these are just the companies that get CAUGHT doing it. I would imagine most drilling companies illegally dumping waste never get caught doing it, too.

B-b-b-but this one guy lied about his issue with frackers!! Therefore, all of these reports are total BS!! Not a problem, across the board, lets move on.

Meanwhile, a fold on the left corner of the President's birth certificate reads; "Murder Americans in Benghazi" on the crease of said fold - IMPEACH THE PRESIDENT!!!

What a joke.
