I think it's cool how the jiggles work. Apple couldn't make it any easier.

haha Blackberry is teh sucks! They are ugly, huge and only reason people use them is for the push mail and that stupid brick game. Why anyone who doesn't work for a company that requires you to have a blackberry would buy one is beyond me.

so you bring up the one model that's not huge? haha that's still bigger that a lot of comparable smart phones, the Sony w890 is 9.9mm and 78grams. Nokia has one that's just under 9mm and 75 grams. My Q's about 11mm, it's much heavier but that's because it has metal and not all cheap plastic.

even when they get smaller than the rest, Blackberries are still crappy phones if you don't need Push Email. *shrug*

The qwerty on the blackberrys is among the best. The pearls are the best at the minimalized keyboards.

If you are buying phones for their looks, you got issues.

(I'm not crapping on the iphone, it's plenty snazzy. I'm waiting for the 3g model)

a lot of people buy phones partially for their looks, if this wasn't the case we'd all still be using phones that look like bricks that have 5 inch antennas that look like sticks on the top. Blackberrys have decent keyboards, I would put them below the Q9 *best QWERTY* and above the Blackjack, but I wouldn't put them that close to the top. That's just my opinion I don't have extensive usage of any blackberry but they never stuck me having anything but average keyboards (not a bad thing...) It took me 2 months but I'm so use to the virtual keyboard on my iPod Touch I don't think I could go back to my Q again. The lack of tactical feedback was shitty for me at first, but now I feel weird when I click away on my Q. Funny how you can adjust to something with enough use. Hummm maybe if i had a Blackberry I'd learn to like the Keyboard as much as you do, who knows? :)

I bring it up because it's the model I have.

The w890 is NOT a smart phone. It's a media phone. Big deal.

How is a blackberry crappy outside of push email? I have an 8Gb card with files and 7.5Gb of music at my disposal, WiFi, EDGE (I'm sure you'll bash that, but it's fine *cough*iPhone*cough*), third party apps such as JiveTalk for IM on ALL networks, native facebook support including direct cam uploads from the device, voice dialing, Stereo BT profile, tethered modem, twin speaker speakerphone, external mSDHC slot, 3.5mm headphone jack that you can use with ANY heaphones *cough*iPhone*cough*, etc and I'm only just touching the surface of it's capabilities.

You may not *like* Blackberries, but they are not shit phones.

Anyhow, what on earth *does* an iPhone do when you hold an icon down? :p

As your moderator-in-training, can I request that we all be civil with each other? :) People look for different things in their phones.

No matter which way you slice it, Blackberry's are very good phones. They are the market leaders in the US for business-class phones. If they don't appeal to everyone, well... that's life. If there was one perfect phone for everyone, it would make shopping for a new one a lot less fun. If I didn't have an iPhone, my second choice (currently) would be one of the new Blackberry Pearls.

Divide, when you hold down an icon in an iPhone with a firmware revision higher than 1.1.2, the icons all start shaking like they are scared or something and you can move them around (and delete them).
