Cuz most people are in that range so in order to feel good about themselves they have to be picky and differentiate.

5'10" is not tall.
I consider 6'2" the starting point for "tall".

I'm 5'11" BTW.

A 3" penis is considered bordering on micropenis.

A 6" penis is normal.

A 9" penis is considered huge.

3" can mean a lot.

Don't feel bad, I'm pretty short too by ATOT standards, at 5'6".

Pretty sure there's a study somewhere that short people live longer.

I'd say 6'3" and up.

Conan O'Brien and Joel McHale are supposedly 6'4".

Anthony Bourdain and Dwayne Johnson are supposedly 6'5".

Those are men.

P.S. Lulz, some ass-hat who was 5'7" called me short at 5'4". No, I'm just shorter.

Why is 5'7" considered short and 5'10" tall when the difference is only 3 inches?

because somewhere you draw the line and make the separation. it does not matter where you draw it because there alway will be people complaining. why i am in this side of the nine and not in the other.

So lets say we but the line at 6 then someone 5 11 complains its only 1 i should be consider also. So we lower. Guess what now we have the 5 10 complain. And so on and so on.

Usually those things are back up from statistic. So we find out the average height in this case of a man. So we choose a range of height as normal which will have the majority of the population in there and then above that range they will be consider tall.

This line is not static but follows up the trends of the people. In the last century because of the more meat in the diet in many countries the average height has risen and thus the height you need to be considered tall.

short and tall are subjective. in this case, terminology should be relative to an average.

5'9" is average for men. anything less is short, anything above is tall.

As an expert, I was able to definitively determine your size:

Wait until you get old enough and nurse measures you and says you are 5'6". Then some years later, it is 5'5". But you never change the height on your driver's license.

At 6-3 I am considered tall... and the biggest problem with this is airlines. Those seats are designed for 6-0 or less. My knees being wedged into the seat ahead of me makes for an uncomfortable flight.

I do work around and know a handful of people who are REALLY tall. 6-5/6-6, etc. That would suck terribly for flying I would figure.

Where I come from, 5'10" is definitely considered short. I was just talking to a woman the other day who was saying she considers men who are 6' to be short. (I am 6'4".)

Short people got no reason to live. Instead of complaining about it be thankful that us tall people allow you to breath the air close to the ground because we don't need it.
