I've been told that they are about the same.

So you want to put the 17in monitors next too the 20.1in (like on each side?)

Look at the phsyical dimension spec of the monitors in question? Remember, bezel height will have to be included in the measurement, as well as how far it sits off the ground.

It depends on bezel height obviously, but they are generally very close.

I have a Benq 20.1" ws and a Samsung 17", they're almost exactly the same height. The monitor stand makes the Benq a little higher than the Samsung, but it doesnt really bother me.

The screen sizes are pretty much indentical, but as mentioned, you might have to fiddle with stand heights/make a platform for one to sit on.

The pixel size is the same, but the 20.1 has 26 more vertical pixels, so it won't really be noticeable.

It's the same height as a 17", which is, I think, exactly 11 inches.

I actually took a sheet of typing paper (8.5 x 11) into my local BB and held them up to the screens.

After I looked at 20 and 22 inchers, I had to go with a 22, because of the height.

22 is the same height as a 19", which is about 12-13 inches.
