Height difference btwn 1150/1155

That's heatsink clearances your looking at, not combined socket/cpu height.

Irregardless, the difference is not enough to matter in the real world, as most aftermarket heatsinks apply excess pressure anyway (by Intel stds.), sothis should not affect cooling.

The same situation existed with Socket 603 and 604 and Intel used different hold down clips to make up the for the difference in height vs pressure.
In the real world, the 603 and 604 clips were used interchangeably and the cpus didn't care and very few people bother to read the Intel thermal guides, so fewer still even knew of the height difference.
