Thats one thing I dont get. I am from the UK and all I hear is Bush getting slagged off by all amercians for the war etc, but he still wins ?

What I cannot understand is how do all these people that supposedly love democracy seem to feel that anybody who exercises their right to freedom of thought is wrong?

This only helps support the horrible stereotype that Europeans are all elitists who pompously believe that they are morally superior to the rest of the world.

The answer is not that those who voted for bush are dumb, the answer is that democrates are blind to a concern I have heard echoed across American society for the last 20 years. our moral values are declining when people on TV are having sex and making out and children can see this. Unfortunately the Democrats have been blind to this concern in their campaigning. So no they are not "dumb" just more concerned about lack of moral grit in this nation's culture.
BTW, I am a comfortable with the term moderate democrat and I voted for Kerry. No Neo-Conservative Religious type here.

regardless of whether or not the mirror is a tabloid or a real newspaper . . shouldn't they at least try to show some journalistic responsibility and not make it so blatant which political side they're on? The only reasoning I can find behind this pathetic front page is that it is trying to make a name for itself. . I was watching Newsnight with Aaron Brown on CNN tonight and they were showing the frontpage of the mirrror as well. Best advertising ever . . . free too. I guess this brings truth to the saying that there is no such thing as bad (or good, depending on which side your on) publicity.
"Moral Values"? Please, that is simply another right wing frame. The war in Iraq is immoral, the US supports dictators that boil people to death yet the US claims a "moral mandate"?
