Heheh. Gateway uses Mac G4 Titanium in advertisement.

TCWO did the same thing on some local billboards - It's what happens when you let artsy-phartsy types market for a PC company.. Not to mention just plain stupid. 😛

Who do you expect to market??? Artists make art. Computer programmers don't make art. Good artists know not to use Apple laptops for Gateway ads.

Depends 🙂 My g/f is a designer for displays etc and yes she plays games 🙂 And are you so sure thats a G4? Gateways notebooks look pretty much JUST like that.
 
It's a G4 for sure. If not convinced, go to Apples site and look at the quicktime VR they have on the machine and do a side by side comparison -- identical. Gateway's may look similar but they don't have nearly the same streamlined packaging as the Apple.

The low end model is $2300. I did some searching for a colleague. The only laptops in the same league that I found that ran Windows were priced higher actually (IBM T30). All the other ones either had a worse set of features or were far too heavy.

yep, spec out an i8200 and its only about $200 less, and weighs 3 or 4 more lbs... $2500 is a lot, but not that much more than $2300... for $200 i'll take 3 less lbs
