I was browsing around to see if Adaware 6.0 was out on CNet (6.0 is being released in Feb. sometime to the public... but lavasofts website appears to be down).

Anyway, they didn't have it just 5.83... what is hilarious is some of the negative reviews for it (which I just looked at just for kicks). Take this gem for example:

ok so like i've used this program on my puter for like 4 years and like everytime i try to use it it like messes it up like all bad and stuff. like one time it like wouldnt let me dial up to AOL and like it messed up my registry so my puter wouldnt reboot and like my internet explorer won't work and like um i think it adds more spyware and trojans and viruses and one time it even made my monitor start to smoke and sparks came out and my puter started making these weird noises and it has to be ad-aware's fault cause i'm pretty smart when it comes to puters dOoD and i can tell when its not my fault but people have said i dont know what the hell i'm doing but theyre just jealous cause theyre not as smart as me and stuff. theyre the nOoBiEz not me!!! so if you like dont want all this terrible stuff to happen to your puter than stay away from ad-aware dOoDz!

What a great product, but terrible user-friendliness. It lets you find the bad files but then has no delete key to get rid of them. It has an "exclude" key instead, which actually encourages you to keep the bad files on your computer. Needs a redesign.
