Well I am still waiting for a few parts for my watercooler and I have a crap hs/fan now so to decrease the heat I put my chip back from 600@900 1.6v to stock speed and at 1.3volts. I have been running everything fine, and even ran rc5 for a while and found that I could get my c2 to 675@1.3v haha thats great. I love this chip!

Thats a pretty good chip you got there!!! Is 900 the max max it goes or can you boost it up to the magic 1000? (1GHz)

Well it posted at a gig and even went into win2k at 1.7-1.75 volts, but when I ran 3dmark 2000 it crashed, but I dont know why. For now I run it at 900 or 600 and in a week i will have all my water cooling parts and retry that gigahertz hehe. Also do any of you know if the 111 fsb will hurt my pci cards if I leave it at that speed?

Woah! A Celeron II at 675MHz with only 1.3V only dissipates 9.1 Watts at full load. I thought my Athlon T-Bird 1.2GHz with 1.55V dissipating 49.4 Watts at full load was good. 9.1 Watts is insainly low. You don't even need a fan for that.

Just for the record... A Celeron II at 1GHz with 1.75V dissipates 32.9 Watts, so 9.1 Watts is way way way lower.

Try UNDERCLOCKING and see how low you can get it!

(I'm referring to clockspeed not Voltage)

I finally got my watercooler and achieved my goal of fitting a water cooling system in a mid atx case. I will have pics up in a couple weeks if I can find a camera, but its sweet. I am running my c2600@900 1.6v at 24c-28 full load. Very nice. The cool thing is that it all fit into a mid atx case and you cant even tell I have a watercooler. SWEET!! I am really happy!!

this is a bit confusing here.

you say you were running the 900 with air cooling, but went and got a watercooler and now you are running @900 again???

hmm, seems to me a big expense for the same clock. you could have spent much less on a good heatsink and fan combo and gotten the same results.

in the long run, you may get the gig, but stable??? maybe, maybe not, but this is why we keep trying, no???

sorry, i just like air, it makes working on the box a lot easier and I am happy with my 1.15 gig clock (tbirdy slot A 900) and 600 w/a PII450 (yes, PII, Intel @133FSB) with air cooling and @2.0vre, its rated vre. it will run winblows @1.80vre. gotta love these 'cherries'.

the intel is even more amazing as I am running a stock aftermarket PII heatsink, but I added a Delta fan. this heatsink has nice little slots to allow air to rush to the cache chips. this is a simple as it gets.

i am happy. clock on.

I know know I could run it at a gig but I do not want to run my chip at 1.85v. The whole point of getting the watercooler was for fun and just to see how it works, it also keeps the noise down compared to air cooling. Plus this was just for fun and I paid virtually nothing for it because of some other parts I sold to buy this.
