I was bidding for a item on a auction site. Now this auction site you cant snipe if you bid with 10 minues left you get added 10 minues to the auction.

Anyway the item I was bidding was at 100 dollars and that would have been my bid. I put my max bid at 110. So a guy comes and beats me. So I go beat him and put it at 180 as my max bid. The guy comes and bids on that again, this time its over 180 and the damn thing isnt worth that much. So he is paying for more than what its actually worth (its worth 165 on the market).

hehe I am so evil.. 🙂

I stopped bidding.. I rather go some where else to get it.

That's my max bid or proxy bid.. it was still around 112 then.. so if he didnt bid after me I would get it at the last bid price of 112.. its called a proxy bid... you are willing to pay until so much which in my case was 180.. but I dont get charged 180.. unless the guy stops at 178 after several bids. Then i get charged that much. I took a gamble to see how dumb this was.
and i proved him right.
