I've been eyeing a new stick of RAM for my computer - I've got 512 MB in it now, and I'm looking to upgrade to 1 GB. The lowest price I've seen on Newegg for a 512 stick is $68. Not bad. I might jump tonight or tomorrow.
However, in the HD forum, I discovered the magic that is the Dell PowerEdge 400SC. For $298 ($398 - $100 rebate) I can get a brand new system with a 2.8 GHz processor (my current is a 2.0 GHz P4), 512 MB RAM, onboard video with an AGP slot too, and a one-year warranty.
Should I bite? And if so, on which one? I can spend $68 on new RAM, or spend 5 times that much and get a whole new system!
