that is awesome. I've always wondered if a switch pitcher existed but thought it was impossible, at least at the ML level. He'll probably be more of a gimmick than anything, though.

Batter should force the pitcher to pitch with his off arm. Unless he's a complete freak of nature, no pitcher is going to pitch well with both arms, whereas a batter could very well bat quite well both ways.

I recall hearing a story of a switch-pitcher going the duration because [obviously] it's only the arm that gets tired. He switched and finished the game.
