Heh, Napster on the SAT

I just took the SAT this morning, and lo and behold, the final reading selection was a point/counterpoint essay on Napster and other file-sharing networks.

Weird - usually it's about ancient greek ruins or libraries or something. You got lucky. Was it easy?

So I guess their reading section is with the times.
Heh...on my December ACT, one of the reading passages was about Star Trek and how it influenced culture. 🙂

yeah it was really interesting to see it on there, eccspecially since Shawn Fanning used to live in my town and graduated from my high shcool.

$5 says the RIAA has a deal with The College Board and based on your response to the question, they will flag you and monitor your actions at whatever school you choose.
You heard it here first.

Thats a good point... I'll back you on that.

I thought the Napster story was pretty interesting and allowed me to actually get the questions they were asking. I wish they would do more stories like this instead of trying to confuse the hell out of whoever is taking the test.

I should note, however, that the rest of the essays were your typical SAT stuff (greek ruins, etc, all great examples 😉)
