🙂

Got Guitar Hero Metallica for Christmas. My 3 year old daughter and I have been rocking out the last couple nights. She has a little guitar that you press buttons that make noises and light up and she shreds on that while I play the game.

I played a bunch of songs off the Black album, Reload, Master of Puppets and some other tracks. Normally after a song she'll give a fist bump and say "you rock Daddy!...play another one!"

Got to the setlist that had Frantic from St. Anger and started playing that. Made it about a minute into the song and she looks at me and says "I don't like this...play something different".

So there you have it. Even three year olds agree...St. Anger was not good.

I thought the first three tracks were good (St. Anger, Frantic, and Some Kind of Monster). The rest do suck.

In all truthyness I like Frantic, Some Kind of Monster and Dirty Window. And really didn't drink the hatorade that many did with the album.

I just thought it was funny that my 3 year old made a comment about Frantic after playing like 20 different songs before it. 🙂

haven't posted this pic in awhile...

I didn't listen to much of that album, but didn't Metallica eschew guitar solos on St. Anger? If so, would make for a very boring set of tracks for the game, I would think.

Death Magnetic was good.

The "Some Kind of Monster" documentary is basically Kirk whining for an hour and a half about the lack of solos on the album.

I'm going to sample Kirk whining about no solos and run it through a wah pedal and fashion some solos for St. Anger out of it. That's essentially what his solos are anyway.

My 1yo also agrees that St Anger sucks. There's a reason there's nothing from StA on his Metallica lullaby CD.
