the seller unclaimedbaggage in Alabama appears to sell stuff that are from luggage that people lose or not claim from airlines/airports. I think they are THE clearinghouse for this kind of stuff and have a huge warehouse in Alabama. I think it is the number one tourist destination in Alabama. Anyway, perhaps, they thought the OS was not legal and decided to strip it from the laptop as it is a decent 2-3 year old lappy. DAMN, someone paid $750 for that.

Doesn't come with much does it?

Exactly what I was thinking. $640 seems a bit steep, IMO, for this piece w/o a Dell Lappy CDRom which will cost you plenty if you don't already have one/have access to one.

256MB memory = a step up but no big deal
30GB HD = decent...no complaints
P3 = um...even two year old lappys have P4s!
No floppy+no CD Rom+no case = stolen

ummm... no... its being sold by unclaimed baggage... basically, all that stuff the airline lost (or was sitting on the carousel after everyone had left) goes to them and they sell it.

its not hard to find latitude C series drives that will work with that computer, anyway. and find me an ultralight that has a p4.
