when i try to open the task manager and msconfig, either it doesnt work or it opens, but closes seconds later. other programs work like the internet and stuff. (winxp)
 
Virus/spyware? Do you have decent/updated AV software installed? If not, try that and adaware first. Otherwise, no clue.
 
It's a virus/worm. There are a couple of threads about it. Search all forums for "task manager" and you will see a bunch of info.
