In Cedar Rapids, Walmart, Sams Club, Krispy Kreme, and a few other small shops share a huge parking lot. The far end of the parking lot has sort of turned itself into a used car selling lot. About 20 cars are put out there by their owners with for sale stickers in the window.

Well, today the management of the stores must have decided that they didn't agree with free publicity and had about 3 flatbed tow trucks come out there pick up up the cars and haul them away. :)

In the next couple days some owners of the cars are going to be in for a little bit of a surprise

I'm guessing that the towing fee on that '86 Chevy Nova is going to be more than what the cars worth :D

Why should they get a warning. The cars were there, on private property without permission.

If I left my car parked for a week in my neighbor's driveway, I would fully expect it to be towed. What's the difference here? Maybe these people will consider asking next time.

if it's commercial property they have to have it posted that parking is for customers only and has to be on a visible sign and obvious. whoever called the tow trucks is going to get a helluva fine.

WOA! The owners won't be very happy about that !

That's not a nice thing to do. They could have at least warned the owners before doing what they did...

this is true, our company tried to do the same thing, turns out that you have to some visable signs and what not posted before you can go and tow someones car.
