well alright... if your not gaming you may as well pick up a crappy pcie card like the x300SE (possibly the worst card in production.. dont expect to be playing HL2 :p.) The epox nforce4 board would be nice too, thats what i would ge if i was going pcie route.

If you dont mind spending a bit, the 6600GT is BY FAR the best value card on the market. It will let you play doom3 and HL2 at acceptable frame rates, and only costs a fraction of the top-end cards. Otherwise, the 6200TC is a good card, but you better have lots of system memory.

Any ASUS MoBo is a good choice. The A8N family seems pretty good. My A8N-SLI has worked flawlessly since I built it.

i would get the a8v deluxe rev. 2.0 and a geforce 6200. you can softmod it to a 6600gt, if you want.

X300SE would be enough for running your desktop at 1600*1200 at 2D so doesn't really matter

If you like you might wait for motherboards with Radeon Xpress 200G chipset. The integrated graphic is equivalent to an X300 which would save you money for graphic card. I don't know when these boards would be availble. The MSI micro ATX Radeon Xpress 200 board is selling right now; But I can't seem to find an ATX one

Actually i agree, just get this one. Its a pretty decent board, and doesnt matter about MATX as everything integrated anyway.. 3pci slots and 1 pcie is enough for anyone!!
