Hedge fund manager Whitney Tilson was feeling happy Wednesday morning.

After Donald Trump ridiculed Wall Street on the campaign trail, the President-elect tapped former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. executive Steven Mnuchin to be his Treasury secretary and billionaire investor Wilbur Ross to lead the Commerce Department. Trump even met with Goldman Sachs President Gary Cohn inside Trump Tower.

It would suit Tilson just fine if voters who backed Trump because he promised to rein in Wall Street are furious now that he’s surrounding himself with bankers and billionaires.

“I can take glee in that -- I think Donald Trump conned them,” said Tilson, who runs Kase Capital Management. “I worried that he was going to do crazy things that would blow the system up. So the fact that he’s appointing people from within the system is a good thing.”

Is this what draining the swamp is supposed to look like? You people got played like a fiddle.

I for one am shocked... SHOCKED. I totally thought that Trump was telling the truth this time. Ah well.

I'm sure he was telling the truth about all the other stuff though so things will be fine.

Let it be known that HTFOff is more concerned with people being upset at Trump being elected than Trump destroying the country.

What i'm about to say is going to sound gluttonous...

MOAR!

Only people from within the system are chosen president by the rulers of this country. If you are not part of the system, you will never even get near high levels of power let alone win.

So Trump, naturally an insider and an elite, would obviously do things in the interest of fellow elites.

Hillary in also an insider and part of the game but it seems like the public sentiment was not favorable for her. If it were, she would be in the White House serving up favors for the elites as well.

Trump rode in on a wave of mass ignorance and fear. These two qualities can often lead to anger and hatred, which we can see.

But do you think that any of these "voters" will realize the game? No. They are just glad they got to vote and "participate." Just like the previous "voters" who voted for "Hope and Change."

Only you nuts think the country is going to be destroyed. Your last shipment of liberal tears wasn't quite as salty as the last, you need more electrolytes in your diet.

I just want to know where the idea of Trump being anti-establishment came from. It's not like he grew up on the projects and became rich through sheer tyranny of will.

He became a birther after Obama won. After that he might have had some following among some people.

The same type of crowd who hated Obama for some reason or another are probably looking for guy like Trump to "say" things like he says (I think saying things is more important in our society than actual action). I was listening to a local talk show today and the caller kept saying "Barack Hussein Obama" over and over instead of simply Obama. He and the radio host were saying how they were counting down the days Obama has left in office.

Kind of strange the person who questioned Obama's legitimacy has now taken over his position.
