Was just listening to some of my older Metal stuff and heard Megadeth's Holy Wars (from the album Rust in Peace)... The song's 10 years old and totally reflects the happenings of the last several days..... If you're Heavy Metal illeterate, then you should at least check out the lyrics, I'm sure a google search can find them....

That's TOO scary dude...I just went through all my old butt rock and heavy metal cd's and was amazed at how many fit, including Holy Wars.

Wow I haven't heard that song in a really long time... remembered every word of it though :) . Man, isn't it weird how an old song can just take you back to another time and place?

Text from www.lyrics.com
ARTIST: Megadeth

ALBUM: Rust in Peace

Holy Wars...

Brother will kill brother
Spilling blood across the land
Killing for religion
Something I don't understand
Fools like me, who cross the sea
And come to foreign lands
Ask the sheep, for their beliefs
Do you kill on God's command?

A country that's divided
Surely will not stand
My past erased, no more disgrace
No foolish naive stand

The end is near, it's crystal clear
Part of the master plan
Don't look now to Israel
It might be your homelands

Holy wars

Upon my podium, as the
Know it all scholar
Down in my seat of judgement
Gavel's bang, uphold the law
Up on my soapbox, a leader
Out to change the world
Down in my pulpit as the holier
Than-thou-could-be-messenger of God
