Heavy 2D

Hi

I am going to buy a new graphics-card soon and I have nailed it down to the ATI Radeon VE and the Matrox G450. My main use of the computer will be to work with programs (no 3D-games)and I need the dual output. So my question to you is Which of the Radeon Ve and the G450 are best with handling programms in 2D?

Thanks!

Definitely the Matrox.. while the Radeon has nice 2-d and good 3-d, the Matrox's 2-d is flawless so if you're not doing any gaming that's the way to go..

Must be a joke! 😉

The GF2 is already not esp. reknown for its 2D (he isn't 3D-gaming), and implying he should get the "lowest cost" GF2---doesn't that likely equate to cheap filters(?)---when he just tools around in 2D?! 😕

clone, you should be fine with either the Radeon VE, or the Matrox G450.
