I'm doing a music censorship for eng102. I need to find a song that is heavily edited so I can play it in my presentation. Im trying to demonstrate how bad songs sound when they are edited for radio, or wal-mart, or whatever.

So, any ideas ?

They don't even bother going through the effort to re-record the song. Instead they edit out the swear words and insert replacement words. It sounds really shiesty.

50 Cent - 'Many Men' or 'What up Gangsta?'...both sound completly ridiculous when played on the radio (every two seconds is edited out...sounds like your radio is broken!)

That Kink's song "Lola"

The BBC edited out "Coca-Cola" and replaced it with "Cherry Cola"


Totally ruined the song and made it pretty much incomprehensible

I've heard the edited version. I think the song still sounds ok, even w/o the "fvck" word. The lyrics still make sense. Never heard the original though...
