I finally got this game on a pretty good deal, and I just started playing it this past weekend.
After playing it for about 2-3 hours total (probably over 1/2 way done too heh) I can say that I am 100% convinced that all the people who talked trash about this game were one of the following...
1. Xbox360 fanboys who heard it was short and wanted to talk trash just to talk trash.
2. People who have never even played the game and again, heard about it being short
3. People who just couldn't get over the God-of-War-ish that this game has in it.
I would also like to say that this game is one of the most fun games I've played in quite some time. It controls and plays VERY similar to God of War, and obviously has stolen a lot of gameplay elements from it. But is that a bad thing? Not at all.
It has a pretty decent story, it's very cinematic and the voice acting is actually very well done. The game is beautiful also, however there is a decent amount of tearing which can take away from the great graphics at points. But there are a few points I kind of just stopped and looked around to admire the scenery.
I was finished with 3 acts of MGS4 when I put this in, and I don't plan on going back to MGS4 until I finish this game which probably will be soon since it's so short heh. And after I do finish it, I plan on going back and getting 3 stars on each level as well. It's just a really fun game, and I recommend at least renting it if you haven't yet.
