So that's your benchmark? Al Gore won a nobel prize.

in physics?

The Hawking Delusion

"Most people will be astonished to hear that Hawking is not rated by his peers among the top ten physicists even of the 20th century, let alone of all time. They probably imagine he has so far been denied a Nobel prize out of sheer jealousy. Hawking is extremely smart, but so are others, and he is a long way from being Einstein’s successor."

someones bitter

I don't get why every time Hawking says something it gets in the news. I didn't think he was even that well respected in the scientific community. He's certainly no Einstein.

You will never be respected for anything.

lol, I already knew the retarded knee jerk reactions from the Christians. They are so predictable. There is simply no cure for stupidity, no matter how much logic or facts you throw at it. If someone is comfortable in their own stupidity, NOTHING will change their mind.

You are aware he is considered one of the leading authorities on astrophysics today, and was the Lucasian Professor of Mathematics and Cambridge for 30 years. A position once held by Isaac Newton. To say he's well respected is an understatement. He is this generation's Einstein.

He was pretty good. Unfortunately he's entered the "star" zone where anything he says becomes The Gospel of Hawking, like this. Hawking has no access to anything anyone else does regarding a hypothetical afterlife. He's not saying countless have considered. In other words, he's just an OT poster as far as this topic goes.

Oh, you again, spreading your vitriol.

Why do beliefs unlike your own threaten you so much? Why do you think you have the right to believe what you do, but any differing beliefs are stupid?

Step back and check your intolerance at the door.

good thing that Jesus touches the egg at conception and injects the soul--long before the brain ever develops, let alone a rudimentary nervous system!

FAIL, Mr Hawking. FAIL!

:colbert:

That is a whole heap of purposeful ignorance and self-induced delusion.

Please cut the shit. Don't give me the "innocent Christian routine." My beliefs don't ban selling of goods on Sundays. My beliefs don't force pregnant women to undergo a sonograms before an abortion is preformed. My beliefs aren't forced on people in the form of FCC regulations. So please cut the "intolerance" shit. I'm intolerant of intolerant people. And Christians are EXTREMELY intolerant. It's just part of their day-to-day hypocrisy.

As for Hawking, he is a genius, and I find it humors (but not surprising) that retarded Christians will claim his statement is false without a shred of evidence to back up their belief. Again funny, but not surprising.

I have a lot of good friends who are Christians and who don't fit his description, but he seems to be right.

Well, he's right...

You two are basically screaming "INTOLERANCE!" at each other, and so far he's presented a pretty darn good argument...
