Oh well... I've been trying to build some heatware since I just started trading in the forums for around 3 months now.. However... I need your advice I should have some more heatware evals now but some of the people I trade with doesn't leave me heatware. I mean all trades ended good and I was careful and packaging and getting insurance blah, blah, blah.. I always follow up whether they got their stuff and whether they need any help... and I always leave heatware for the other guy and somehow they always forget about me... even if I ask them politely to leave some heatware... What am I doing wrong?

I just had a person say that they wouldn't leave me heat until I left some for them. Personally I thought they were being a dickhead, but I it did work.

I just send them one PM reminder. If they leave it, cool. If not, who cares? Just leave them heatware. I have recieved heatware like a month after the trade was done because they forgot, but saw my heatware to them.

That's different. He's a new seller and wanna build some refs so that selling would be easy for him. I'm pretty sure you don't wanna be the one who always send the items first right??

Well yeah... I have no problem leaving heatware first... I do for everyone coz I expect the same from them. Yeah the truth is I don't like sending first but I do since I'm new... Also some people just won't trade even if I give them all my info and talk to me because I don't have enough heatware... Anyway, I'm afraid to keep PM'ng them coz I already left them good heatware and what if they get annoyed and they leave me a neutral and even negative heatware? So FRUSTRATING.... :(

If a trader leaves negative or neutral heat just because you were asking them to leave heat, PM Heat23 and explain the situation to him. He will gladly take care of the problem.

I'm in the same situation as you... I have very little heat (1 - buying) so when I sold something to a member on the forums I was expecting that it would build my rep since I sold him an item. I got the money, then I sent him the item. After a week or so, I pm him to ask him if he's received the item and if everything is good could he please leave me a heatware eval. He PM'd back saying that he'd received the item and that he'd received the package and that everything was as expected. I checked my heat, about a week later still nothing. So I left him my positive heat and reminded him as politely as possible to please leave me an eval. nothing... After a couple more messages spread by about a week, I gave up on it and haven't emailed him since.

It's been almost 2 months now, I'm not happy about not getting heat for an exchange I went out of my way to go smoothly (shipping was more than expected, and I ate the difference... I let him know about it too) :disgust:

nothing I can do about it I guess :frown:
