Heatspreader on RAM falling off

The heatspreader on the backside of one of my Mushkin Silverline modules fell off. Tried putting it back on a few times but it keeps coming off. The adhesive pad lost its stick. I'm almost to the point where I'm just going to leave it off since the RAM doesn't get hot anyway. But before I do that, just want to check in and see if anyone can recommend a new tape or adhesive pad, or something sticky.

yeah you know i put 64 sticks of ram in a blade and none of them had heat spreaders. go figure. nor does the 18 sticks n a 1U dl360 g7.

maybe if you are voltage jacking due to low quality memory?? otherwise for everyone else there is fluid dynamics

Just take it off. SDRAM heat spreaders are just for looks.
