heatsink with fan for A64 upgrade

Looking to upgrade really soon. Maybe within the next couple of weeks or month, depending on whether winchester core prices keep rising or quantity diminishing. Need help in hsf. I usually go with Coolermaster and their X-dream series.

Good HSFs for A64s include the Zalman 7000 AlCu, which includes a 92mm fan, and the Thermalright XP-90, which takes your choice of 92mm fan.

From the Zalman page for the 7000B AlCu:

The 7000B has slightly improved upon the 7000A heatsink not only in performance, but in a 7g weight reduction.

The pure copper one is not recommended because of its weight. The aluminum/copper will give you most of the performance with less stress on your motherboard.

if you like cooler master i can recommend the hyper 48.

all copper with 4 heat pipes. uses a silent 92mm fan speced for 20ish CFM.

although my first choice would have been the xp90 + panaflo m1

Thermalright XP-90... weighs almost nothing considering it's size.... works amazing. can be paired with low RPM quiet fan and still perform well.

The B version actually weighs less (7g IIRC). I'd go for the AlCu version of the 7000 because it's cheaper, lighter, and performs almost identically to the pure copper version.

Zalman is phasing out the A versions in favor of the newer B versions, so they're probably hard to find. That's also the reason the A version of the copper 7000 is so (relatively) cheap now.
