are you planning on overclocking?

arctic silver II really DOES make a difference over generic thermal compound, so i would highly suggest you do it right and get some

but if you really need a "temporary" solution...especially if you're not planning on overclocking, then that stock paste should do fine till you get some real stuff

just make sure you clean it off well before applying the arctic silver II

U have the ASII...then scrap those stock paste & put ASII. U'll loose nothing.

1. U a razor to scrap the pad off. Clean the remaining using alcohol or nail polish remover.
2. Then, follow ASII applying instructions on their w/site.
