Heatsink Question

Considering the retail version of the AMD Thunderbird 900MHz processor... is there a heatsink/fan included and is it any good?

Retail versions of CPU's typically come with a stock heatsink & fan. Obviously it will be (in this case) AMD-approved and adequate for the CPU it is attached to. My preference however is to always get an OEM CPU and a seperate heatsink/fan. With that you guarantee you have superior cooling. (One necessary element of successful overclocking.)

i agree, but it seems with this case overclocking will not be performed, but just io case you do plan on over clocking get the 700 oem you'll save a few bucks. Thay all have the same cores so just try to get one thats a late week.
