My system is 2500+ athlon with Asus a7n8x using stock hs. When I play 3D games like World Rally Championship, my system would lock up. Then I check the cpu temp, it was 63c. Was that the problem? what hs should i use to lower the full loaded temp. im overclocking by the way, from 2500+ to 2800+

tsk tsk tsk. Stock hs is only supposed to cool the CPU at stock speeds, why don't you try stock speeds and see if it locks.

The temps are likely the cause of your lockups, but there are many other possibilities. The Thermalright SK7, SLK800 and SLK900 are all excellent heatsinks. Check to make sure the HS is seated level on the core and that you used thermal compound. I also suggest running Memtest86 and Prime95 to test for stability problems. What are your current case temps? If they are above the mid 30s I suggest you remove some case panels and try running your computer. This should drop your temps and increase stability if heat is the problem.
