Heatsink missing on Micro Atx 6100 chipset board

Hi,

Just picked up an old motherboard that does not have a heatsink on the nvidia 410 southbridge.

Does it really need one? If so, would memory heatsinks work ok, or.. any suggestions on what would be needed and where to buy.. ebay??

Video card heatsinks will sometimes fit. But if you don't see any predrilled holes, then the board didn't come with any, and I would run it without the heatsink. Chipset heatsinks are generally $8-15 and you should use thermal paste when installing.

This board has the GeForce 6100 northbridge and the 410 southbridge. No southbridge heatsink.
