Heatsink in contact with one of the capacitors.

Is it ok if your heatsink touches the capacitors close to the CPU sockets.
I have the Thermalright SLK-947U on the NF7-S V.2, the heatsink fits but it bends one the capacitors.
Is it safe or should I do something about it?

It's not ideal as sometimes there could be a circut made between the two. If you are daring enough you could try bending over the transistor so that it no longer touches the heatsink. But make sure not to break it off. 😉

I wouldn't have them touch but if you can bend the transistor just a little bit... BE VERY carful though breaking one of those suckers is NOT a good thing. 😉

Although not ideal, the heatsink touching a transistor is not the end of the world. Before I would bend a transistor, I would try and find a small piece of rubber or some other non conductive material to put between the two.

Let's get our terminology straight.

Are you talking about :THESE? (In that picture, there's 2 bluegreen ones and 4 black)

Those are capacitors. And yes, it's ok to bend them slightly. Just don't break them.
