Yes. A GeForce DDR. I'm poor, okay? It beats a TNT2 Vanta!

The ADDA fan is dead. Unscrew that and you're left with the heatsink that is glued to the core. I've tried running the card without fan for ~10 minutes to get it good and HOT! With a heavy cloth, I tried removing the sink... to no avail.

Anyone remember how to get one of these heatsinks off the GPU? I have a replacement fan I'd like to put on.....

You can stick it in a freezer, it'll weaken the bond between the gpu and the heatsink, twist and try to remove it.

You can also stick it back in the freezer and stick a piece of floss between the GPU and the heatsink. Just keep tugging and eventually it'll "cut" through the paste.

sticking in the freezer worked for my gf3 card too. Make sure that the card is covered up, you dont want any liquid to get on it.
