Heatsink for LAN PC?

Hey guys, I am trying to figure out what kind of heatsink/fan to get because my E6600 Stock one ain't cuttin' it. I know the Ultra 120 is the best out right now, but it seems pretty big and so do a lot of the others (Zalman). What would be a good Heatsink choice for a LAN computer? My case is HUGE (Mozart TX dont make fun), but I will be going to lans semi-frequently. Do you think the Ultra 120 would be a problem? Any suggestions are welcome, thanks.

PS: I don't care about overclocking, but my Stock Heatsink is malfunctioning and the CPU gets pretty hot so I need a new one regardless.

Have you looked at the Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro 7. Not too big, good cooling, little noise, easy to install, and now can be had again for a good price (except for NewEgg).

 I totally agree with the AC Freezer 7 Pro.

Zalman 7700 copper would be for you, youre not overclocking, its low profile and it wont hurt your computer when you bring it places like those huge tower coolers. I never had a problem with mine when I had one.

You should upgrade your case if youre going to LAN, I'd suggest a Antec Super Lanboy its so light and portable. fits your ATX stuff easily also.

In all seriousness, you should be more worried about your back than your motherboard. I second the nomination for the 7700, I move my case frequently, and it has been fine so far. I also second that you consider another case, how much hardware are you going to be moving around in there? Those cases are already 20 pounds by themselves.

lol, everyone thought i was crazy for getting it. I had been looking for a mid-tower for months, but I'm just so picky. I needed it to be aluminum, i hate the front panels in today's cases, and I had to like the look. I got the aluminum Mozart TX and its actually lighter than my last case. But ya it is still a bit of a hassle to move around. You guys got any solid review links for me for that 7700? Thanks again.

I had the 7770 (all copper version). It is a little harder to install since it requires you to install a bracket behind the motherboard. It is also a little heavier/bigger than the Freezer Pro 7.

I sold the Zalman and installed the Freezer Pro within seconds since I didnt have to deal with a bunch of screws and rear bracket.

Quick question. Let's say (hypothetically), I get an Ultra 120, do you really think I will have problems when moving the case?

I have a Scythe Infinity with a hefty fan on it's side, LAN monthly at least, haven't had a problem. I am always careful to move the case on it's side since I didn't put a backplate on the mobo, but it seems nice and solid.

Yeah, I don't have a review of the 7700, except for my word that it has worked flawlessly for me.

I would not be too worried about heatsink woes though, going by that thread PCT posted.
