I just bought a Visiontek Geforce 3 Ti 200 from Z-buy.com and I recieved it this afternoon. I opened the box and one of the card's ram heatsinks had fallen off!! I need to get a replacement or something. Any help? Also, why is the box so big when all there is inside is the card, the cd, and the instructions...was i cheated...

You have two options, RMA the card or re-epoxy it back on yourself.
You will need thermal expoxy not the normal stuff.

Lol, if you want a bigger card buy a Voodoo 5500. I always wondered why manufactures make such a big box for
little products, Same goes with Computer games, most have a small manual and Cd and the box is still the same
size as it used to be. I remember the days wehn you had 15 disks to install and a 200 page manual along with
other goodies.

Often in merchandizing the big box is to use up shelf space - less room for your competitors to occupy! And of course people unthinkingly assume a bigger box is more goods for the money. Retail Pyschology 101 is probably a class somewhere..

Heh thats great! It does make sense tho, The slightly higher cost (prolly only like 5 cents per box) can just be tacked onto the price, and when you see the HUGE PRINT of word XTASY, you might be attracted at least for a few seconds. Possible buy then. Yes, it also seems like more stuff, but then the weight gives that away. Maybe they should add bits of lead or something...heh. we could make a course out of this
