I am putting together a rig using my old mid-tower ATX case. It is 17" long, 7.5" wide, and 17" in height. The motherboard sits right below the Power Supply without much space, and I am having a tough time finding something good that will fit in the space. I don't have the board I ordered yet, the Gigabyte DS3L, but I am using reference measurements from my old mobo - an Asus P4P800 - which should be comparable.

I am planning on overclocking an E2200 up to around 3.0ghz and good cooling is necessary. What are some recommendations that will fit a setup such as this?

*sorry typo... its 7.5" wide i was thinking of something else. i was hoping somebody could tell me from personal experience what fans will fit in a tight case using a DS3L. I have looked at the pictures and dimensions, but I don't think I will have a good idea until it actually arrives.

You need to know the amount of space around the CPU socket and where it will sit in your case, as well as the size of the HS/F you want to use. I found a number of boards containing DS3L on Gigabyte's site. It lists GA-EP31-DS3L, GA-EP35-DS3L, GA-EP43-DS3L (rev. 1.0), GA-EP45-DS3L (rev. 1.0), GA-P31-DS3L (rev. 1.x), GA-P35-DS3L (rev. 2.0), GA-P35-DS3L (rev. 1.0).

Search for your model on their site, and check the pic and the dimensons. You should be able to get some idea from the photo.

Hope that helps. :)

I'd say the CoolerMaster Hyper TX2 or the Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro units or that OCZ one that was going for a really low price at ZZF.
