heatsink fan doesn't work...

i recently assembeled my own comp, a7vza mobo and amd 1ghz chip, but on start up it says 750 mgz, and the fan doesn't work even though it's plugged in, what do i do?

Is it a 266 FSB CPU? If so, 750 MHz would be consistent with a 1000/266 chip running at 100 MHz.

As for the fan, it could be either a bad fan or a bad motherboard header, do you have a known good fan you can try on the header?

i'm not 100% percent positive about what u mean but i think it is 266 fsb, but i thought it was just running slow cuz the fan didn't work, but i'll walk up to my local radio shack i saw some fans there. this one the fan is stuck to the heatsink, is there anything i need to do to the bios to make it work?
