Hi!
Recently my CPU fan is malfunctioning. Is it sufficient for me to replace the fan or should i replace the heat sink well. Incase if i had to replace my heat sink, what kind of heat sink should i buy for VIA KT 133 chipset. The processor is Intel PIII 1Ghz processors. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanking you.

Regards

Is it the chipset fan or the CPU fan that's failing?

You can probably get a passive cooler for the chipset, but the CPU will need a new fan if that's what's broken. There's no need to replace the whole heatsink unless you have some other reason for wanting to do so.

Sorry, no clue about replacement HSFs for a P3. I can barely keep up with the ones for the current generation of processors, let alone two generations ago. 😛

Edit:

Welcome to AT, BTW.

If need be, pick up a cheap Speeze off Newegg--they have Socket A/370 coolers on there for around $10.
